THE TREND REPORT - SEPTEMBER 23

What We Loved | NZFW

The biggest week in New Zealand fashion is here. Discover our favourite shows, streetstyle, and moments from NZFW 2023.

KIRI NATHAN

The first Māori designer to open New Zealand Fashion Week in its 20-year history, Kiri Nathan is an award-winning fashion designer and cultural ambassador. With a focus on tradition, culture, sustainability, and integrity, this was a show not to be missed.

JULIETTE HOGAN

Known for refined details and elegant ease, Juliette Hogan’s showcase breathed new life into a tonal and sophisticated palette of drapey silks, pleats, and soft tailoring.

LONTESSA

A fashion label created by NZ raised, Singapore designer Tessa Lont, the Lontessa NZFW show was inspired by Tessa’s Māori ancestry, coupled with Tessa’s passion for sustainability and femininity.

KATE SYLVESTER

As one of Aotearoa’s most loved and celebrated fashion designers, Kate Sylvester celebrated their 30th birthday last night. The backdrop to Kates show put the makers and technicians in the spotlight featuring card patterns used to make the collection.

As a friend of Kate’s, we partnered with her to design and make a custom Ada Pump for the birthday celebrations, worn by all models throughout the show.
